Become Unmistakable.

I'm a writer whose medium happens to be brands. Together, we'll build a world people recognize the moment they step inside.

Want a white paper that reads like a rollercoaster—the kind your audience rereads on purpose? Need language so unmistakably yours a competitor briefly considers hiring a spy? Ready to dream up a campaign bold enough to make someone clutch their pearls (in the good way)?

Or maybe it's something that doesn't need to shout to be unforgettable. A homepage that finally sounds like the company behind it. A CEO message people actually believe. An annual report someone forgets they're "supposed" to skim.

Whatever shape it takes, we'll go beyond the surface and get to the thing underneath it. The point of view. The pattern. The sentence everything else has been trying to say. The truth. Proof of life.

You bring the world you want to build.
I'll bring the words that make it real.

The Worlds I Build:

  • ¹ Editorial

Everything gets easier once you know what you're actually trying to say. Before the campaign. Before the content calendar. Before someone asks if you've "tried video." We'll figure out what matters, what doesn't, and the story only your organization can tell.

    We'll untangle things like:
    • Messaging & content audits • Positioning & narrative strategy • Content strategy • Thought leadership strategy • Editorial calendars & planning

Investment: Starting at $3,000. Project or Retainer

  • ² Brand Voice

Every company has a voice. Not every company recognizes it. We'll find the language that's already trying to emerge, then build a voice people recognize the moment they hear it. Because sounding human isn't enough. It should sound unmistakably like you.

We'll give shape to things like:
    • Brand voice guides • Messaging frameworks • Tone of voice • Founder stories • Mission, vision, and values

Investment: Starting at $3,500 · Project basis

  • ³ Writing

Sometimes one sentence changes everything. Sometimes it takes fifty pages. Whether it's a homepage, an annual report, a keynote, or a year's worth of thought leadership, I write the things people actually finish reading.

    Things I've happily disappeared into:
    • Websites & landing pages • Executive thought leadership • Ghostwriting • Long-form articles & essays • Annual & impact reports • Campaigns • Speeches • Editorial features

Investment: Custom quote · Project or Retainer

  • ⁴ Editorial Partnership

Sometimes my job is writing. Sometimes it's asking the question nobody else in the room has thought to ask yet. I become part of the conversation long before words hit the page—helping shape ideas before they become campaigns, presentations, websites, or very expensive mistakes.

    This usually involves:
    • Fractional editorial leadership • Executive messaging • Creative consulting • Workshops • Editorial reviews • Ongoing strategy & counsel

Investment: Custom quote · Project or Retainer

  • ⁵ Sidequests

Not every problem needs a six-month engagement. Sometimes you just need one very good sentence. Or someone to tell you your homepage isn't saying what you think it is. Or help writing the toast everyone remembers. Or the resignation letter everyone wishes they'd sent. I've been hired for stranger things.

    Past adventures include:
    • Messaging audit • LinkedIn rescue missions • Content banks • Speeches, toasts & eulogies • A spicy divorce letter • Things I can't say publicly

    Have something else in mind?
Those are usually my favorite emails.

    Investment: Custom quote · Project

Read Between the Lines

Hi, I’m Charlsie. I'm a writer, editorial strategist, and professional noticer.  Words are my work. Here’s how I bring them to life…

The Gospel of the Glitter Pen

Somewhere in you, there's a sentence that's never been said out loud. I want to find it.

I've never met a notebook I didn't fall in love with, at least a little. Since I was a kid, something like a siren call has pulled me toward glitter pens, half-dead markers, the exact silence right before a pencil touches paper. I still think that's where all the interesting things begin—not with certainty, but with the first brave sentence.

I'm always looking for the thread. The one running beneath the homepage, the keynote, the annual report, the campaign. The sentence everything else has been trying to say.

Writing shouldn't exist to fill a quota or satisfy an algorithm that forgets it by Thursday. It should reveal something true. It should leave people seeing a company, an idea, or themselves a little differently than they did before.

I believe in making waves. Real ones—the kind with a splash big enough to reverberate into everything else it touches, long after the moment that caused it. This is world-building. Every sentence is another thread in the world you're inviting someone to step inside.

The People I Write For:

Women building worlds that don't have names yet.

Executives who aren't afraid to have a point of view—and brave enough to say it out loud.

Healers. Mystics. Dreamers. Artists. The poet trapped in the body of a finance bro.

Neurodivergent business owners whose brains work in ways this industry still hasn't built language for.

The ones who've been called too much and know that is, in fact, their superpower.

People with something to say who are done waiting for the invitation.

The Brands I Write For:

Companies that actually mean it when they say people come first—not the line, the practice.

Fortune 500 brands that understand their words carry weight, and want to use it on purpose.

Small business owners who believe fortune favors the bold, and know boring rarely gets remembered.

Brands with imagination, who look at the sea of sameness and say, "yeah, we're absolutely not doing that."

SaaS founders who've realized product marketing can only carry a story so far.

Teams done mistaking execution for judgment. Marketers who know trust is earned, not demanded.

0

LinkedIn Impressions.
3.8M+ people reached in the last 365 days.

Somewhere out there, millions of people paused mid-scroll for an actual sentence.

0

Brands, organizations,
and publications.

From Fortune 500 companies to startups, healthcare organizations, founders, nonprofits, household names, and at least a few people who were one Slack notification away from a full breakdown.

0

Reactions, comments, reposts and very opinionated conversations.

Writing that makes people feel something rarely leaves them with nothing to say.

0

Pieces of khaki pants content created willingly.

The generic version dies quietly in my drafts folder, exactly where it belongs.

Gratitude:

JuliaKate Culpepper,
Georgia Power

"My standards for content are higher than most organizations, which has made it difficult to find copywriters who can truly meet them. Charlsie didn't just meet my expectations—she anticipated questions before I asked them. Out of every copywriter I've worked with, her work required the least editing and the most strategic thinking."

Alla Weinberg,
Four Percent

"Working with Charlsie was a genuinely refreshing experience. She took the time to understand me—asking sharp questions and actually listening to the answers. The final copy didn't just capture my voice; it captured something I hadn't been able to articulate myself."

Holly Teegarden,
Founder, Moodporium + The Moodment

"Charlsie is a storyteller who understands how to drive business results through smart editorial strategy, strong writing, and audience insight. She has an incredible ability to immerse herself in an industry and communicate like she's been part of it for years. If I had the opportunity to work with her again today, I would do it in a heartbeat."

Scott Burgess,
Founder, Saasea

"Charlsie is the strongest content marketer I have had the privilege of working with in my career. Her ability to take a high-level strategy and translate it into compelling, effective content is unmatched."

Christina Perez Grushkin,
The Social Health Collective

"From the start, Charlsie just got it. She took all of our ideas, feedback, and existing content and turned it into messaging that felt authentic to who we are while making it much easier for others to understand. She brought clarity to our messaging without losing what made our brand unique."

Tell Me Something Good.

I only take on a handful of projects at a time.

The kind of work I love can't be rushed. It asks for curiosity, attention, and enough room to chase the sentence that's been hiding in plain sight all along. Not every project is the right fit. If I don't think I'm the best person for yours, I'll tell you. I'd much rather point you in a better direction than pretend otherwise.

Bring me the idea that's keeping you up at night. Or the one you can't stop thinking about in the shower. Those are almost always the interesting ones.

Off the Record

The kind of things you'd probably learn about me over shrimp cocktail.

Charlsie sounds like Charl-sea. Niemiec sounds like knee-Mc.

I have a degree in English and Creative Writing, which, naturally, dropped me into the world of marketing. For the last 15 years, I've helped brands sound more human, build worlds worth stepping into, and even landed one a balloon in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

My favorite word is effervescent. I firmly believe candy is an acceptable breakfast food. If I had to marry, kiss, or kill punctuation, it'd go like this: marry the em dash, kiss the ellipsis, kill the comma—unless it's an Oxford comma. Then we ride at dawn.

I'm a Pisces sun, Leo rising, Gemini moon. Spiritually? Melissa Broder sun, Eve Babitz moon, Audre Lorde rising.

My writing and marketing has been featured by HuffPost, Upworthy, USA Today, Glamour, BuzzFeed, Good Morning America, The Atlantic, CNN, Straight Arrow News, Quartz, and Fortune.

When I'm not working on client projects or writing fever-dream essays that irrationally upset Corporate America on LinkedIn, you can usually find my assistant* and me sharing a shrimp cocktail, making only marginal progress on my never-ending TBR pile, and sending this emoji far more often than any adult should: 🥴.

*Leonard. Wire-haired terrier rescue. Composer of squeaky toy symphonies. The second most demanding boss I've ever worked for. The first was a guy named Biscuit Bookbag Bones. We still miss him.

The Blog

One more thing before you go…

I'm not for everyone. And that's okay. If your dream brand sounds exactly like everyone else's, I'm probably not your wordsmith. If you're looking for safe, expected, "whatever everyone else is doing" content, there are plenty of people who can help with that.

If you're comfortable with your content showing up

in the world wearing khaki pants and a jacket of jargon, we're probably not meant to be. I care too much about verbs. I believe nuance is a competitive advantage. If you're after better thinking wrapped in better words, pull up a chair. Otherwise, I'd rather stick shrimp forks in my eyes.
